The Sunshine Bay Yacht Club (SBYC) is one of the best-kept secrets in Alberta's
recreation world. The club is nestled in a private, secure and secluded peninsula on
South Seba Beach - one the best natural harbors on Lake Wabamun.The perfect refuge for both cruising sail and motor yachts in a natural and rustic environment! SBYC is a not-for-profit organization governed by an elected board dedicated to promoting the sport of sailing.
This club is unique in the friendly, positive, and supportive environment that it offers to both experienced sailors and new comers to this sport. Families are welcome.
Organized races are held on weekends in the spring and fall and Wednesdays in summer - allowing skippers to hone their sailing skills. Fun and informal weekend regattas are also held throughout the summer.
Lake Wabamum offers a territory of 36 square miles making it one of the few really great sailing lakes for fixed keelboats in Alberta. Fast and convenient location: 1 hour west of the city of Edmonton or 3 1/2 hours northwest of Calgary.
